Bonnie "Teenie" Jenkins

It is with great sadness that the family of Bonnie “Teenie” Jenkins aged 67, passed away on August 8, 2024, in Woodhaven, Michigan. Bonnie was born on January 17,1957, and dedicated her life to family, friends, and community.

Bonnie’s commitment to her family was paramount. She was a loving wife to her husband, John, and a nurturing mother to her children, Jamie (Ed) Knopp, Jenn (Ed) Esposti, Lisa (Jim) Lycett, Shelly (late Garrison) Holbrook, John (Sarah) Cieslowski. She was also a loved and cherished grandmother to 28 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, with 2 more on the way. Her brothers, Wendell, Greg, Ron (Boxer twin Brother), Scott and Rick, survive her. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Martha and Charles; her son, Jimmy; her sisters, Glenda, Vivian, and Gloria (Tinker); and her brothers, Chuck and Terry.

Professionally, Bonnie was passionate about the culinary and hospitality industry. She worked as a chef and bartender, eventually running her own catering business. Her love for cooking was not just a career but a way of connecting with people, often hosting parties to bring joy to others. Bonnie’s hobbies included boating, bowling, karaoke, playing cards and board games, and visiting casinos. She also loved garage sales, shopping for ”good deals” on clothes and shoes, baking cookies, painting, buying and planting flowers along with a little gardening. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends, which brought her the most happiness.

A celebration of Bonnie’s life will be held at Seaway Boat Club; 6 Perry Place, Wyandotte, Michigan, 48192, on Saturday, October 5, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. A memorial service will be at 2:00pm to 3:00pm and dinner will be served at 3:00 pm.

Memorial contributions in memory of Teenie may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Bonnie’ s life was a testament to her belief in God, family, kindness and caring for others, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories.
