Bonnie M. Brooks

Born in Monroe, Bonnie was the daughter of Fuson and Ida Mae (Powell) Bussell. She married the love of her life, Bernard Brooks, on February 27, 1960, here in Monroe. A dedicated homemaker, Bonnie enjoyed playing Bunko, Crafts and Decorating Cakes. She also made and collected dolls, collected antiques and loved to garden, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family. Bonnie leaves to cherish her memory, Bernard, her husband of the past 58 years; children: Kimberly (Randall) Loope of Monroe, Heidi (Richard) Barcum of Maumee, Ohio and Melissa (Danny) Yip of Ann Arbor; her grandchildren: Michaela (Jason) Cilley, Dillon Curtis, Ella Yip, Isabel Yip, James (Christina) Loope and Dustin Loope as well as her great grandchildren: Ryleigh Curtis, Katelynn Cilley and Clara Loope. She is also survived by her siblings: Don Bussell of Morristown, Tennessee, Livinia Turner of Knoxville, Tennessee and Cheryl (Tony) Turner of Morristown, Tennessee. Sadly she was preceded in death by her parents and two siblings: JoAnn Parker and Denver Bussell.
