Billy K. Moody

Born Middlesboro, Kentucky, Billy was the son of Willard and Dorothy (Sutton) Moody. A veteran of the United States Army, he married to love of his life, Donna Fortner in 1963. Sadly she preceded him in death in 2004. Billy worked as a Laborer for over 45 years with both Laborer's Local 465 Monroe and Laborer's Local 334 Detroit, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandkids. Billy was an avid sports fan. Billy leaves to cherish his memory his children: Mickey (Alania) Moody of Monroe, Kelly (Bob) Hall of Monroe, Terry Moody of Monroe and Cristy Moody of Monroe; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; four brothers: Larry (Diane) Mosley of Winston, Georgia, Doug (Wilma) Mosley of Orlando, Florida, Steve (Allison) Mosley of Apopka, Florida, Jeff (Jessie) Mosley of Apopka, Florida and a sister Susan (Stanley) Henry of Apopka, Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother David Mosley. In accordance with Billy's wishes, cremation is taking place under the direction of the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes.
