Bill Franklin Potter, Sr. was born on March 26, 1943 and passed away after a courageous battle on July 26, 2019 at the age of 76; he was of Johannesburg and Dearborn Heights. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (nee: DeFazio). Loving dad of Michael (Kristy), Bill, Jr. (Joyce), Gerald (Lynne), Phillip (Kelly) and Angel (John) Gibson. Proud papa of Sarah (John), Michael, Jr. (Rebecca), Jacob, Kaylee, Zack (Melissa), Chelsey, Spencer, Brittany (Mark), Izaak, Haley, Riley (Courtney), Brady, Lilly, Ethan, Shannan (Bob), Jordan (Jeff) and Paige and great grandfather of 7. Dearest brother of RosaLee (John), George (Phyllis), Betty and Phil (Pat). Also survived by many other loving family and friends. In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Mae (nee: McFarland) and two brothers John and Jerry. Bill’s love in life was his family and he was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and gardening. Visitation is on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 3 – 8 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd (Corner of Goddard). The funeral service is on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at 10 am at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
