Click on the tribute wall above to view Bill's video tribute. Obituary William “Bill” Fredrick, 60, of Trenton, MI passed away on August 14, 2020. Visitation will be August 19, 2020 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Catholic mass at 11:00 am at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd, Trenton, MI. Due to COVID-19, we will observe precautions including requirement of masks and social distancing. Bill was born in Pekin, Illinois to William Fredrick and Margaret (Carl) Fredrick on June 4, 1960. Their only son, Bill shared his parents with five sisters. Bill went to high school at Trenton High School, graduating in 1979. He was the very proud father of William and Hans Fredrick. His sons meant the world to him. Everyone who knows Bill has heard his stories of their family ski trips, vacations in Florida and knows that he loved his boys more than anything. Bill was also proud of his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan, a school he followed and admired since moving to Trenton in 1973. Bill had recently started a new position as a Control Manager for Orchid Orthopedics. Bill was preceeded in death by his father, William Fredrick. Bill is survived by his sons William and Hans, his mother, Margaret Fredrick, his sisters; Kim (Jerry) Anderson, Jeanne (David) Bennett, Liz Dunning, Sue Skerbe, and Gretchen (Michael) LaBell, his former wife and mother of his sons, Yvonne Fintor Fredrick, his partner, Karen Monk Zahodne, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special people in Bill’s life included Noelle Waugh Buckner and Will Waugh. Bill had lifelong friends and loved all of his people with a big, generous heart. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to an educational fund for William and Hans. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to honor Bill's life may be made to The Bill Fredrick Memorial Fund, C/O PO Box 1208, East Lansing, MI 48823-1208 To those attending visitation and/or services for a loved one, in keeping with State of Michigan Executive Orders 2020-110 and 2020-147 , masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced.
