Bill Buckley, age 74 of Monroe, MI, peacefully met his Lord and Savior May 19, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, OH. Born December 16, 1942 in Detroit, MI to Leonard and Charlotte (James) Buckley. Bill and Sharon (Bennett) were married for 52 years and have resided in Monroe, MI for the last 46 years. They have 3 children Lisa Lewick of Monroe, MI, Patrick of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Janeen (Bryan) Jones of Monroe, MI; 3 grandchildren Jaimi (Temme) Kirkwood, Jack William Buckley and Charlotte Jones; 2 great grandchildren Laila and Teagyn Kirkwood; and his beloved sister Barbara (Bill) Shaver of Livonia, MI. Bill worked as a millwright for Ford Motor Company for 37 years, retiring in 2002. Bill and Sharon traveled to over 30 countries and camped over most of the United States. He loved to fish, hunt, golf and ride motorcycles. Bill was an instructor in Wing Chun Do, in which he held a black belt. He served as a Frenchtown Volunteer Fireman and EMT for 15 years. He was a member of the Michigan Longbow Association, Michigan Traditional Bow Hunters and a member of The NRA (National Rifle Association). Bill welcomed the SON everyday in the lake in front of his home and would say "Everyday is a Good Day". A Tribute to Bill will be held Friday, May 26, 2017 at 1:00 pm at The Monroe Golf & Country Club, 611 Cole Rd., Monroe, MI 48162, followed by a luncheon.
