Betty L. Broschay

Betty was born on March 8, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan and died on April 29, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital Trenton at the age of 92. She lived in Riverview for 66 years. Beloved wife of the late Charles. Loving mom of Pamela (Brian) Reicks, John (Pam) Broschay, David (Toinette) Broschay, and the late Mark Broschay. Proud grandma of Derek (Elizabeth), Jill (Sean), Hilary (Nick), Christine (David), Scott (Leslie), Evan, Dana (Warren), Sam (Lorraine), Collin, Shelby and Troy. Dearest sister of Sandy Fontaine, the late Emma Dupuis and the late Phyllis McDonald. Also survived by her 9 great grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her numerous extended family and dear friends. Betty was a vibrant Christian and along with her late husband, a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Trenton for at least 65 years. She taught adult Sunday School for many years and was a part of several women’s groups at First Pres. She also led a number of Friendship Bible study and coffee groups throughout the Downriver Detroit area for 20+ years. As an amateur poet, she penned many poems throughout the years, mostly featuring her love of God and family, as well as her experiences in life. She loved singing and was a member of the choir and the women’s chorus at church. Her humor and fun-loving personality will long live in all of the great memories she provided us with. Betty was loved and will be missed. A celebration will be held at a later date in memorial.
