Click on the tribute wall above to view Betty Joy’s video tribute. Betty Joy Foley, age 91 of Daytona Beach, FL, formerly of Detroit and Allen Park, MI, passed away peacefully June 22nd, 2021. Born April 22nd, 1930 to the late Miles and Florence Blair. Loving wife of 57 years to the late Gerard Foley. Dear mother of Geraldine (Ken) Triplett, Denise (Don) Cronin, and the late Mary Foley. Proud grandmother of William (Vicky) Armstrong, Jeremy (Melissa) Armstrong, Olivia Armstrong, Jean (Mark) Auger, Anne (Derrick) Drinkert, Joseph (Melissa) Cronin, Melissa Holloway, and the late Amanda Smith. Great grandmother of 16 and great- great grandmother of 3. Also survived by a sister Gloria Rosen, sister-in-law Justina Blair, and many loving nieces and nephews, to whom she was known as “Aunt Betty”. In addition to her parents, daughter, and granddaughter, Betty was preceded in death by brothers Royden “Skip” Blair, Richard “Bill” Blair, and sister Myla Stewart. Visitation will take place Tuesday July 6th, 2021 from 4-9pm, Funeral Service Wednesday July 7th, 2021 10am, at the Allen Park Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd., Allen Park, MI 48101. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in Betty’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
