Betty Jane Gardner

Gardner, Betty Jane. Age 84 of Southgate was born on October 19, 1931 in Allen Park, MI and died on January 8, 2016 at her home. Beloved wife of the late George R. Loving mom of Kathy (Charlie) Bellars and Tammy (Bob) Hodge. Proud grandma of Tony, Bobby, Danny, Cindy, Jennifer and Mike. Also survived by her great grandchildren, 4 brothers Chuck, Leo, Bob and Kirk Brayman as well as other loving family and friends. Betty Jane was a graduate of Allen Park High School and retired from Acuride; she lived a very active life and enjoyed and was good at everything she did. Some of the things she enjoyed were being outdoors, gardening, shopping, hunting with her husband, sewing, ceramics and she was an excellent decorator. Betty Jane was happy all the time and along with her husband will be remembered for hosting the best parties. "She was the glue that held the family together". Funeral service will be Thursday 2 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). Visitation Wednesday 3 – 9 pm at the funeral home.
