Betty Frost

Betty Jane Frost, passed on August 23, 2017 at the age of 77. Betty was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 4, 1940, daughter of the late Lee and Anna Burnette. One of seven children, her sisters have fond memories of growing up with her in New Boston. Betty was a beloved and devoted mother and grandmother, and a friend to many. Her life will forever be cherished by her three sons who regarded her as a confidant and loving wonderful mother. She enjoyed creating joyful memories with her family, often playing with or telling stories to one of her twenty grandchildren and great-grandchildren or rocking and singing the babies to peaceful sleep. She enjoyed cooking and teaching her granddaughters family recipes and their way around the kitchen. Betty was an avid gardener with a green thumb and deep knowledge of flowers. She was proudly employed at the City of Taylor Fire Department for over fifteen years. Betty was a spiritual woman and devoted to her church. She will be deeply missed by her family. Betty is survived by her sisters Annabelle Gendron, Barbara Hall, Judy Emery and her sons Kevin his wife Andrea, Kenneth his wife Debbie and Jonathan his wife Erika followed by her grandchildren Michael, David, Jennifer, Theresa, Nicholas, Steve, Jacob, Maria Paula, Joshua, Matthew and great-grandchildren Aubrianna, Kaiden, Jake, William, Jaedin, Max, Ethan, Charlotte, Aydia, Gabriel and Caleb. She is preceded by her brother, William. The family invites all to celebrate her life at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd in Trenton. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 28 from 1:00-8:00pm. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00am on Tuesday, August 29 at the funeral home. Procession will immediately follow to Michigan Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in the memory of Betty Frost to Thrive International Church in Melvindale.
