Bernard "Bernie" Macdonald

MacDonald, Bernard “Bernie” age 80 of Detroit passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021. Born on July 22, 1940 in Mabou, Nova Scotia, Cape Breton Canada to Duncan and Jane MacDonald. He moved with his family as a young boy to Detroit, attending Holy Redeemer schools, Detroit College of Business and finalizing his career at DTE. Bernie, an avid musician, played both the guitar and bagpipes. Bernie was a member and officer of The Cape Breton Club, a Past Master for the Masons Lodge #2, Knights of Columbus 3rd degree, the Shriners and a member of many other organizations. Bernie leaves to cherish him memory, siblings: Alexina (Ron) Orcher, Joseph (Sue), Mary Anne (Ray) Lovett, Duncan (Christine), and Arthur. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Alexander (Judith), Roderick “Roddy”, Jude and Angus. A private service will be held at a later date.
