Bernadine Agatha Gaynier

Bernadine Agatha (Baumia) Gaynier of South Rockwood, went home to be with the Lord at age 86 on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Washington Commons Retirement Community in Evans, GA. Born November 22, 1934 in Newport, Bernadine was the daughter of Elmer and Agatha (LaPointe) Baumia. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Louis Gaynier, whom she married on April 28, 1956 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Newport. Prior to Dale’s death on May 1, 2018, they had been married 62 years. In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Bernadine held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those around her. She also was a faithful member of Evangel Baptist Church in Taylor until she moved to Evans, GA, to be near her daughter, Lisa Greene. Bernadine is survived by her children: Jeffrey [Rosemary] Gaynier of Bartlett, TN, Steven [Diane] Gaynier of Moseley, VA, Robert Gaynier of Taylor, David [Kathy] Gaynier of South Rockwood, Lisa [Kerry] Greene of Evans, GA, Darrin [Susan] Gaynier of McDonough, GA, Paul [Danielle] Gaynier of Waxhaw, NC, and Jennifer [Wayne] Morse of Walton, KY; 24 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her only sibling, James Baumia of Toledo, OH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
