Beatrice G. Smith Olsen

Beatrice was born on December 22, 1932 in Wyandotte, Michigan and died on October 3, 2020 at Beaumont Hospital Taylor at the age of 87; she was of Flat Rock. Beloved wife of the late James D. Smith and the late John Olsen. Loving mom of Alice (Chuck) Stewart, the late James Smith and to his wife Cheryl Smith, Donna (Hayward “Bud”) Davis, Thomas (Annette) Smith, the late William Smith, Jeffery Smith (Debbie Sharp) and Robert Smith (Robin Long). Proud grandma and granny of Sarah (Jeff), Becky (Toby), Jimmy (Rhonda), Amy (Chris), Sherry (Mark), Angie (Danny), Paul (Crystal), Tommy (Amber), Heather, Mandy (Jamal), Jenny (Katie), Laura (Joe), Joe (Anita), Robert (Jenna), Josh (Melissa), Bobby (Becky), Daniele (Maurice), Jeffery, and Paige. Also survived by many great grandchildren, other loving family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents James and Alice (nee: Elliott) Stark, her granddaughter Kaira, her great grandson Joseph Parker, Jr., one brother James Stark and two sisters Elizabeth Lipkowski and Alice Senkowski. Beatrice loved her family; she also loved crocheting, playing cards, going to Bingo and going to the Casino. Visitation is on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 from 1 pm to 8 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. Beatrice will lie in state on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at the Woodhaven Baptist Church, 21950 Gudith Rd., Woodhaven, MI 48183 from 10:30 am until the time of the service which will begin at 11 am at the Church. Memorial contributions to honor Beatrice’s life may be made as the donor chooses. Entombment Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.
