Born in Monroe, Barb was the daughter of Anthony and Bernice (Miletti) Mignano. She attended St. John the Baptist parochial grade school, graduated from St. Mary’s Academy High School, graduated from St. Joseph School of Practical Nursing in 1967 and went on to complete her Associates Degree in Nursing From Monroe County Community College in 1983. Barb married the love of her life, Timothy Greashaber, June 21, 1974 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Barb was active with Campfire Girls and spent summers at camp Tawanka in the Irish Hills and in 1963 was part of the first group from Michigan to have received the Horizon Pin. As a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, she worked on the Funeral Luncheon Committee, the Bereavement Committee, was a Eucharist Minister and volunteered many hours. Barb also enjoyed bowling and had served one term on the Women’s Board of Directors for the Monroe Bowling Association. She enjoyed traveling, reading, bowling and crocheting, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family.
Barb leaves to cherish her memory, Tim, her husband of the past 44 years; children: Rebakah (Joshua) Halsey of Monroe and Gregory Greashaber Mignano of San Francisco, California; two grandchildren: Eric Nunn of Monroe and Ryan Nunn of Toledo; as well as her siblings: Kathy (Ron) Motyka of Carleton, Micky (Tom) Meyers of Monroe and Mark (Jan) Mignano of Temperance. Sadly she was preceded in death by an infant son Todd Andrew Greashaber and her parents.
Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in honor of Barb are asked to consider St. John’s Catholic Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
