Barbara Kay Bolenbaugh

Barbra Kay (Ruppel) Bolenbaugh of Rockwood passed away at Beaumont hospital on June 27th 2023. She was born June 26th 1938 at Dearborn General Hospital, the daughter of John Herman Ruppel and Edith Katherine (Lohr) Ruppel.

Barbra graduated from Wayne Memorial High School, class of 1956. Following graduation Barbra attended Western Michigan University where she enjoyed various art classes and received her Bachelor of Science in 1960. After college Barbra married the love of her life, Ronald Lee Bolenbaugh and they settled in Rockwood. They celebrated 60 loving years

together. Barbra taught elementary school where she retired in 1970.

In addition to her parents John and Edith Ruppel, she was predeceased by her husband Ronald Bolenbaugh, sister Pamela Ruppel, and great nephew Zachary Ruppel. Surviving are her son Andrew Bolenbaugh, Granddaughter Samantha Bolenbaugh, Great grandson Hudson Lytle, one brother John Ruppel and his wife Janice Chapin of Midland, 2 nephews John E

Ruppel and his wife Lisa, and Kenneth Ruppel and his wife Dawn and great niece Nichole (Ruppel) Schrader.

A private service will be held for family members to lay to rest Barbra and Ronald. If you wish to remember Barbra in a special way please send donations to The American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
