Barbara J Stevens

April 26, 1933 — March 7, 2025

Barbara J Stevens

Barbara Stevens, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of Christ, entered her heavenly home on Friday, March 7th at the age of 91. She was surrounded by the love of her family and prayers of her loved ones as she transitioned from this life into the arms of her Savior.

Born on April 26th, 1933, to Eula and Aurbrie Howe, she dedicated her life to her faith, her family, and serving others with a heart full of love and grace. She was a devoted wife to her late husband Eugene Stevens, with whom she shared 63 wonderful years. A nurturing mother to Mark (Ashley), Dale (Kim), Lori (Julian), Lisa, Karen (Gregg), and Susan (Dwayne), and a cherished grandmother (Grammy, Ol’Momma) to her many beloved grandchildren and many, many great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; her beloved brothers, Ramon (Shirley) and Richard (Barb); and her great-grandson, Phoenix Carson Jump. She is survived by her dear sister, Kathleen (Joe). Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, creating lasting memories, and sharing her wisdom and kindness with all who knew her.

Barbara lived a Christ-centered life, always seeking to love and serve as Jesus did. Whether through her involvement in church, acts of kindness, or the simple yet profound way she loved those around her, she was a true reflection of God’s love. Her faith was unwavering, and her gentle spirit was a source of comfort and strength to many. She also found joy and peace in the beauty of God’s creation, spending countless hours tending to her garden. Her flowers flourished under her care, just as the people in her life did. Barbara was also a talented quilter, creating intricate and heartfelt pieces that became treasured heirlooms for her loved ones. Through every stitch, she poured in love, warmth, and prayers, leaving behind not only beautiful works of art but also a legacy of love and devotion. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and kindness that will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her. While her family mourns her passing, they find peace in knowing she has received the reward of a life well-lived in Christ.

“Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.” — Matthew 25:23
