Barbara A. Oakes

Barbara Ann Oakes "Foster", age 93 of Allen Park. Born in Holdenville and raised in Ada, Oklahoma. Passed away on December 5, 2024. She was the beloved wife to her late husband, Harold Oakes, of 24 years.

Beloved mother to Debra Cranford, Glenna (David) Dailing, and Tom (Ann) Cranford; step-mother to Kathleen (Jessie) See, Doris (Mike) Gombos, Larry (Vicki) Oakes, and Barbara (Greg) Kannberg. Dearest grandmother to 16 grandchildren; great-grandmother to 26 great-grandchildren. She was also loved by many other family members and friends.

Barbara enjoyed spending her precious time attending sporting events for her grandchildren which would involve travels up North and out-of-state to baseball games and hockey games. Barbara also enjoyed trips with her husband Harold to Las Vegas and Oklahoma to see family. She was deeply dedicated to her family, devoting her support to all of their milestones and endeavors.

She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 9, 2024 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. Allen Park, MI 48101. Funeral service and sharing of memories will be provided at 1:30 pm. There will be a procession to Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Huron Township, MI afterwards.
