Audrey M. Owen

Owen, Audrey M. of Novi MI - Audrey M. Owen (Stropp), died peacefully September 18, 2008, surrounded by her family at the Manor of Novi. Born January 17, 1924, in Detroit, MI. Audrey married the love of her life, Roy L.Owen in June, 1949. Together they had six children Jacqueline, Robert, Yvonne, Karen, Donna and Michelle. The family lived in Southgate, and then moved to Allen Park, MI where they resided for many years. Audrey was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and a very devout Catholic. She spent many volunteer hours at St. Pius and St. Frances Cabrini, where she was a member of the Christian Mother's Guild. Audrey was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella at the Knights of Columbus in Allen Park. Audrey will be remembered for her kindness, graciousness and gentle nature. She had a remarkable way of encouraging those around her and lifting people's spirits. Audrey's life represented everything that was virtuous and honorable in society. Audrey was pre-deceased by her husband Roy L. Owen, brother, Norbert and Edwin Stropp, and sister, Virginia Benoit. Surviving are sister, Mary Anne Balaka and brother Leon Stropp, daughters and son, Jacqueline Cabauatan (Glenn), Robert Owen, Yvonne Owen, Karen Bolin (John), Donna Jackson, and Michelle Owen, 11 grandchildren, Shaun Bolin, Glenn and Nicholas Cabauatan, Aaron, Mahria, and Arianna Boone, Gina and Michael Monteleone, and Shelby, Krista, and Roy Owen and 6 great-grandchildren, Kaliegh, Bryce, Andrew, Vera, Attianna and Brianna.
