Anthony David Atkins

Anthony David Atkins, 53, of Trenton, Michigan, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2020. He was born April 23rd, 1967 in Detroit to Charles & Judy Atkins. Loving father of Elida Atkins and the late Ashley Petrie. Proud grandfather of Amelia Petrie. Beloved son of Charles and the late Judith. Loving brother of Rene’ DeLaRosa (Bob), Mario Atkins (Ana), Lina Cosmas (Jon), Dearest Uncle of Derrick Favot, Christopher Favot (Alyssa), Anthony Favot, Robert DeLaRosa, Kyle DeLaRosa, Charlize Cosmas, Mariana Atkins. Tony also loved his fur baby, Rocky who is missing him dearly. Anthony has many cousins and extended family members in Canada, Malta and beyond. Most know Anthony as ‘Tony’. He grew up in Southwest Detroit and attended Western High School. Tony went on to attain his CDL license in trucking. While his life was rather turbulent, the one constant was his love and affirmation for his family and his music. If you knew him at all- you know his music. In recent years he was attached to his dad at the hip. Never wanting to leave his side. The two of them were like watching a real life version of Sanford and Son! Priceless does not begin to explain their relationship. Our Dad will certainly miss him most. Memorial contributions to honor Anthony’s life may be made as the donor chooses.
