Anne G. Larsen, 86, of Trenton, died on June 6, 2018, while surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold, the dear mother of Amy Camaiani (the late Robert), Beth Larsen, JoAnna (Lou) Minna, and Meg Larsen, and the proud grandmother of Katherine, Robert and Rebecca Camaiani, and Christina and Elizabeth Minna. "Mom" was the light of our family, an extraordinary mother and grandmother, forever humble and kind, and always with a twinkle in her eye. Anne Gurzon Larsen was born on October 28, 1931. She was raised in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania – the daughter of a coal miner and his seamstress wife. Mom graduated from high school, then boarded a bus to Washington D.C., to work as a stenographer in the FBI. While there, she met Harold (Pop) and they were married in 1952. After a move to Boston, Mom and Pop finally settled in the Detroit area, moving to Trenton in 1962. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader, active in the church, and full of love for her family and friends. Once all the kids were in school, Mom worked at McLaughlin's Furniture Store in the gift shop, as a sales person, decorator and buyer. Mom's devotion to her family was her defining characteristic. There could be no better role model. Visitation will be held at the Trenton Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes on Saturday, June 9 from 2-5 pm. A short service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be private at the Great Lakes National Veterans Cemetery in Holly, Michigan at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial contribution be made to Shelter to Home Animal Rescue, http://www.sheltertohome.com, or to the charity of your choice.
