Click on tribute wall above to view Angelo's memorial video. Angelo Joseph DiPonti, of Detroit, formerly of Windsor Ontario, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 10, 2021. Loving husband of Erika Lopez- DiPonti. Loving father of Arleth, Colton, Christian and Angelo. Beloved brother of Anthony (Lisa) DiPonti and the late Lorenzo DiPonti. Proud son of Tullio and Lina DiPonti. Dear uncle of Gabriella, Guilianna, Santiago, Camila, Juliana and Emilia. Proud grandson of Francesca and the late Angelo Evangelista and the late Raimondo and the late Gilda Porco. Beloved son-in-law of Pedro and Maria Lopez. Dear brother-in-law of Jose (Erika), Pedro, Mayra, and Joanna. On May 10, 2013 Angelo met Erika in Pontiac, Michigan. The very first minute Angelo laid his eyes on Erika he fell in love with her. Crossing the street he knew he had to stop and talk to Erika. He was a devoted husband and father. He never failed to miss an anniversary. He celebrated their anniversary on the 10th of every month, not just once a year, like most. He knew right from the start that Erika was the one and married her as soon as he could. He married the love of his life on May 10, 2014 in Las Vegas. Angelo is an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan, enjoyed listening to music, especially electronic music, and cherished spending time with his family. The family asks that if you are attending the private visitation, that you wear a mask and no photos be taken out of respect. Memorial contributions may be made directly to Erika Lopez- DiPonti.
