Alice V. Ray

Alice Veronica Chatell Ray of Layton UT, formerly Trenton MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 5 March 2015. She was born on Oct 29, 1931 in Norway MI. the daughter of Nina Catherine Ann and Angus J. Chatell. She spent the last four years living with her Son in Utah. She was married to Allen W. Ray on April 15, 1952; they were divorced June 1981. She was a caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Alice was a proud member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 426. She worked as an Assisted Living Aid. She loved to crochet, make toys and personal gifts with plastic canvas. Christmas ornaments were her specialty. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Brothers; Harold and Joe, Sisters; Louella and Peggy, Son; Allen. She is survived by her Brothers; Gary (Vickie), Jim (Joan), Sister; Joan (Bob), Allen's wife Kathy, Son; Harold (Vickie), Daughters; Margaret, Alice (Ralph), Mary, Debra (Nelson), Nina (Norman). She leaves behind 17 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 – 12:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at The Ridge Chapel - Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 2272 West Jefferson Ave, Trenton, MI Funeral services will be held directly after the visitation. Interment will be immediately following services at Michigan Memorial Park, Flat Rock, MI.
