Alice L. Graziani

August 20, 1945 - January 9, 2017 Grosse Ile, Michigan | Age 71 Alice Larkin Graziani, age 71, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017, following a short battle with cancer. Alice was born August 20, 1945 in Westchester County, New York, to Robert and Roberta (Gibson) Larkin, attended the University of Arizona, where she met her husband, Alan, and lived most of her life in Grosse Ile, Michigan. Alice was a devoted and valued paraprofessional at Grosse Ile Schools for many years, and volunteer at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital ER, where she was honored for her contributions as a 2015 star volunteer. She could regularly be found walking with her friends – or her cherished dogs! – on "the Island." Alice was a special friend, and all will miss her kindness and ever-present smile. Alice is survived by her loving husband of nearly 50 years, Alan, as well as her two sons Kevin (Hope Shovein) of Grosse Pointe Farms, MI, and Marc (Carey) of Huntington Woods, MI, her beautiful granddaughters Lauryn, Emma, Natalie and Olivia, and her brother Peter (Louel) Larkin of Palm Coast, Florida. A Mass celebrating Alice's life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 21 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 21599 Parke Lane, Grosse Ile, Michigan with Father Noel O'Connor, S.A.C., officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be private. Contributions in memory of Alice's life may be made to the Grosse Ile Animal Shelter or the Michigan Humane Society.
