Alexander "Al" Iocoangeli

Alexander "Al" Iocoangeli

Born July 12, 1934 in Monroe, Al was the son of Trifone & Lucia (Yentz) Iacoangeli. A graduate of Catholic Central High School here in Monroe, he faithfully served his country with the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War from 1952-1959. Al's career was in law enforcement, first with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department and then for 21 years in Florida with the Hernando County Sheriff's Department. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. A cowboy at heart, Al was a fan of John Wayne and while he lived in Florida owned a ranch with horses, cows and various other animals. Al leaves to cherish his memory four children: Gary Iocoangeli of Terre Haute, Indiana, Kim (Dan) Parkhurst of Flat Rock, Alan Iocoangeli of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Kateri (John) Owens of Monroe; three brothers: Aristido Iacoangeli of Monroe, Michael (Betty) Yentz of Florida, Reni (Sis) Iocoangeli of Monroe; two sisters: Angie Duvall of Monroe and Mary Paolino of Vanderbilt, Michigan; as well as 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by a son Tim Iocoangeli; a daughter Tina Marie Iocoangeli; three brothers: Mario Iaconageli, Peter Iacoangeli, Trifone Iacoangeli and a grandson Michael Marchese.
