Alberta L. Cagle

Cagle, Alberta L. Age 95 of Taylor was born on October 4, 1920 in Sebewaing, Michigan to Edward and Leah (nee: Braun) Kuhl and died on November 2, 2015. Beloved wife of the late L J. Loving mom of Lee Cagle, Lorraine (David) Weckerly, Norma (David) Frick, Janet (the late John) Weisler, Marie Pinter and Yvonne Cagle. Proud grandmother of Lara (Graeme) VanMatre, Lisa (Mark) Brown, Jami (Yoni) Kellman, Frank Pinter, Jennifer (David) Webber, Eric Pinter, Eli (Melissa) Frick, Nicole Pinter, Evan Frick and John (Dina) Weisler. Great grandmother of 9. Also survived by other loving family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters and 6 brothers. Alberta's love in life was her family and she would drop anything to be available to her grandchildren; she was a long-time and active member of the Allen Park Church of Christ. Alberta would help anyone with anything they needed and she spent countless hours making over 10,000 teddy bears that were donated to the community to help those in need. Earlier in her life she enjoyed crocheting and sewing; she was an excellent gardener and loved spending time working with her flowers. She also loved the Detroit Tigers and had them on anytime they played. Visitation will be Thursday from 3 pm until time of service at 7:30 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd., Allen Park, MI and visitation will also be on Friday from 11 am until the time of a brief song service at 12 at the Kilmanagh United Methodist Church, 2009 South Bay Port Rd., Bay Port, MI 48710. There will be a procession to the New Bay Port Cemetery in Fairhaven Twp. Memorial contributions to honor her life may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
