Abina W. Fix

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Abina was the daughter of Nicholas and Winifred (McNamara) Camilleri. She married the love of her life, Howard Fix, on November 27, 1948. Sadly he preceded her in death August 22, 2009. A dedicated homemaker, Abina also had worked research and development in the Medical Lab at the University of Toronto before moving to Michigan. She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and their Ladies Society, was very involved in the local Right to Life organization and active with the Women's Golf League at Lilac Brothers Golf Course. Abina also enjoyed flower gardening and music, but her most treasured times were those spent with her family. Abina leaves to cherish her memory her children: Yvonne (Rick) Fix of Grand Rapids, Kevin (Wendy) Fix of Newport, Mary Fix of Horton, Marueen (Tom) Fix of Marysville, and Joel (April) Fix of Newport; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as a sister Loretta Sisung of Maybee. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by granddaughter Amanda Fix; a brother Nicholas Camilleri and two sisters: Mary Camilleri and Angela Ames.
