A. Joseph Brough, M.D.

A. Joseph Brough, M.D. formerly of Grosse Ile, passed away May 16, 2021 at the age of 91. Loving husband to Mary Jo for 43 years. Loving father to Glen Frederick and the late Robert Joseph. Joseph loved the Boy Scouts and was involved with the boys of Troop 1261. He loved fishing, spending every year up North. He drew exquisite anatomical drawings, leading his professor to ask when he would publish them. His love of Children’s Hospital of Michigan was known to many. He worked at Children’s Hospital for 40 years, serving as Chief of Laboratory Medicine, chairman of many committees and as temporary Chief of Staff. He loved his church, St James Episcopal Church, Grosse Ile. He kept the grounds looking beautiful, served as Acolyte Master, and assisted with many services.
