Walter R. Moore

Born in Marion, Ohio, Walter was the son of Walter and Ida (Eichman) Moore. He faithfully served his country with the United States Marine Corps. He was an Inspector with U.S. Pipe and Casing in Irwindale, California. Walter married Jean Hustead in June of 1978. Walter attended Crossroads Community Church and was a member of the VFW Post 1138 in Monroe. He volunteered for R.S.V.P., and in fact was known for volunteering for whomever may have needed help. Walter leaves to cherish his memory, Jean, his wife of the past 37 years; his son Walter (Karen) Moore Jr. of Covina, California; step daughters: Joellen (David) Short of Clearwater, Florida and Victoria Bellows of Monroe; as well as four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Carrie Reese and Dorothy Winegar. In accordance with Walter's wishes, cremation is being handled under the direction of the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Walter's honor are asked to consider Monroe Senior Citizens or Frenchtown Senior Citizens.
