Shirley Meggison

Shirley Ann Meggison, born on December 10, 1945, in Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, in Dearborn, Michigan, at the age of 78. Formerly of Southgate, Michigan, Shirley was a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

In her early years, Shirley worked at Sunbeam Donuts, but her most treasured role was being a devoted mother to her daughter Tina, who sadly passed away in February of 2020. Shirley found joy in Bingo and traveling, but it was spending time with her family and friends that brought her the greatest happiness.

Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Tina, parents Doyle and Rita Burke, sister Jeannette Burke, brother-in-law Chet Kolerski, and brother-in-law Duane Meggison.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Meggison. Shirley's memory will also be held dear by her brother Doyle (Barbara) Burke, sisters Nancy (Gary) Cece and Claudia Cramer, sister-in-law Mary (Jerry) Argue, sister-in-law Barb Kolerski, brother-in-law Rick (Donna) Meggison, and sister-in-law Sherry Meggison. She was a proud aunt to Courtney, Celeste, Nina, Shannon, Jason, James (Dawn), Rondelle (Steve), and Myki.

Shirley's warm spirit and love for her family and friends will be remembered always, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
