Ray Mosley

Ray was born on February 9, 1932 in Floyd County, Kentucky and died on August 7, 2020 at the age of 88, a resident of Allen Park, formerly of Taylor and Detroit. Beloved dad of Deborah (Larry) Williams, Michael (Deborah) Mosley and Kimberly (Jimi) Atanasovski. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Nathaniel Williams, Priscilla Strasser, Karissa Baird, Kortney Dempsey, Zachary Atanasovski, Nicolas Mosley, Alexa Atanasovski and Colton Williams; great grandchildren: Kadin Nivison, Olivia Williams, Sophia Strasser, Benjamin Ray Strasser, Teagan Baird and Eiley Baird; sisters Shirley Daughtery, Violet Lucas and Delmie Hambrick; and brother Edgel Mosley. He was preceded in death by his parents Green Bud Mosley and Birdie Blevins Mosley, son Timothy Ray Mosley, and siblings Worley Mosley I, Tharp Mosley, Worley Mosley II, Ballard Mosley, Opal Mosley and Evelyn Caudill. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a Corporal in Company B 7th Infantry Regiment in the Korean War. He worked as a welder at Whitehead and Kales for over 40 years, and spent the beginning of his retirement keeping busy by traveling and working for National Car Rental. Ray loved spending time with his family and watching the Detroit Tigers. A public funeral procession will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at 2:00 pm from The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes in Allen Park (10915 Allen Road, at the corner of Goddard) to Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery in Flat Rock (30895 Huron River Drive). The gravesite committal service will begin at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association (by mail at P.O. To those attending visitation and/or services for a loved one, in keeping with State of Michigan Executive Orders 2020-110 and 2020-147 , masks and social distancing along with limitations on number of person(s) in the chapel must be followed and will be enforced.
