Olga Karth

Olga was born on September 15, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan and died on July 23, 2023 at home, at the age of 93; she resided in Trenton for nearly 60 years. Beloved wife of 50 years to the late Walter J. Karth, Jr. Olga is survived by her nieces, nephews, Earl Durand, Jr (Linda) of Alexandria, VA; Robert Durand (the late Chris) of Lititz, PA; Denise Marlin (the late Robert) of Woodhaven, Michigan, Carolyn Malec (Rich) of Medford, New Jersey, and Ed Bazel of Nashville, TN, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Olga was preceded in death by her parents Wasily and Mokrena Zanchuk, her sister Irene (the late Edward J.) Bazel, nieces Patricia Geil of Lexington, KY and Sharon Paga of Warren, MI and dear life-long friend Mary Pappas of Trenton, MI. She was employed by TRW in Warren and BASF in Wyandotte. Olga loved to travel with her husband, was active with golf and bowling leagues, enjoyed playing cards with her card club friends and loved family gatherings.

A memorial gathering will be on Friday, August 11th at 11:00 am until the time of memorial service at 1:00 pm at the Trenton Chapel- Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. Inurnment will be at Michigan Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in honor of Olga’s life will be donated to The River of Calm an organization which provides soothing music to ease the discomfort of cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
