Mr. Donald Clifton Brown

Donald C. Brown, age 79 of Monroe, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. Born October 5, 1936 in Toledo, Donald was the son of Clifton and Elenor (Pierce) Brown. For many years, Donald work construction, building Butler Buildings. He also farmed and worked for a period of time at a box factory in Dundee. He enjoyed playing billiards, going to auctions and watching television, especially Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Donald leaves to cherish his memory his daughters: Darla Brown of Toledo, Paula (William) Gallan of Monroe and Connie Martin of Monroe; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a brother Roger Brown of Monroe. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents; a son Russell Brown and four sisters: Elenor Harris, Sally O'Brien, Marsha Homolka and Nina Wilkerson. In accordance with Donald's wishes, the family is being assisted with cremation arrangements by the Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes. Private inurnment will take place in Pleasantview Cemetery.
