Leona L. (Konarske) Abbott

Leona Lillie Abbott (Konarske) was born in Brownstown on January 16, 1929 to August and Clara Konarske (Bargau), and passed away peacefully on January 10, 2024. She graduated from Trenton High School in 1947. Leona married Harry Abbott (1925-1995) on November 21, 1953. She worked as a secretary for Pennsalt from 1947 until 1954. Then worked as a secretary for Riverview Schools from 1962 until 1985.

Beloved wife of the late Harry Abbott. Loving mother of Linda (Lou/Jake) Bresinski and Jeff (Patti) Abbott. Grandmother of Jennifer Herrmann Hagan and Eric (Linda) Herrmann, and Jacob Bresinski. Great grandmother of Becca and Gage Schmaltz. Leona was loved by many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. Leona was the last living of 11 children.

Leona loved family, enjoyed played euchre, rummy and solitaire. She also enjoyed old TV game shows, as well as Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and doing crossword and jigsaw puzzles.

A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, January 16, 2024 at Elks Club 1731, 26917 Telegraph, Flat Rock, MI 48134 at 4:00 pm.
