John Joseph Schulte

John Joseph Schulte, age 77 of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023.

Born May 5, 1945 in Wyandotte, John was the son of Lester and Helen (Sukon) Schulte Jr. A graduate of Trenton High School, he then went on to earn his Master of Arts in English degree from Eastern Michigan University. John married the love of his life, Melinda Martz, in 1967. He had an exceptionally long and successful career with Trenton High School as the English Department Head. John was also a faithful member of Faith United Methodist Church and had served on the Trenton Library Commission.

John leaves to cherish his memory, Melinda, his wife of the past 55 years; his children: Mark Schulte and Kristin (Eric) Simoneaux; two grandchildren: Jonathan Simoneaux and Joseph Simoneaux; siblings, Janice (Nick DeCarlo) Schulte, Janette (Clifford) Decaire, Gary (Anna) Schulte, Gregg (Sharon) Schulte; step-siblings: Richard (Lois) Eagal, Robert (Cheryl) Eagal, and Roger (Kathy) Eagal; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Lester Schulte III, Margaret Schulte, Richard Frederick Schulte, and Richard Wayne Schulte.
