Hazel Marie Yenor, age 95, passed away in her home November 19, 2021 in Erie, MI. She was born January 16, 1926 in LaSalle, MI to Alfred and Edna (Bomia) Pete. Hazel married William Yenor March 3, 1943 and together were married 49 years. In 1965 Hazel worked for Tiliston Carberator in Toledo, OH for 11 years and in 1976 she worked for GM Powertrain Plant in Toledo, OH for 5 years. After retirement, Hazel moved to Bitely, MI in 1981 and lived there until 1992 and then moved back to Monroe. In 1993 Hazel was a loving companion to Robert Eighmey for 17 years. A special heartfelt thank you to Robert Eighmey’s children Bobby, Nancy, Cindy and Mark for loving Hazel as their own mother, especially Bobby and her daughter’s who made sure Hazel had a wonderful dinner every night. Hazel took care of her mother for many years and also bowled for many years at Monroe Sport Center. She loved to bake cookies for everyone and make pancakes in the shape of turtles and Mickey Mouse for her grandkids. She also loved to plant flowers and mow her lawn. She lived on her own and took care of herself for many years. Hazel is survived by her children; Bonnie VanKampen of Muskegon, MI, Dawn (Denny) Billock of Dundee, MI, daughter-in-law Janet Yenor of Erie, MI; grandchildren Scott (Wendy) Randall, Wendy (Bob) House, Todd (Ruth) Randall, Chad (Beth) Yenor, Heidi (Scott) Leads, Brandon (Melinda) Bowling and Trevor Cain; great grandchildren Scott (Cassie) Randall, Sara (Adam) Felcoskie, Chris Randall, Tiffany (Andy) Bui, Cory, Megan, Emma and Cole Yenor, Madison and Kelsey Leads and Dalton Bowling; 4 great great grandchildren and sister-in-law Jackie (Artie) Cousino. Hazel is also survived by her best friend Kiki Cinglie. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Edna Pete, spouse William Yenor, companion Robert Eighmey, son David Yenor, grandson Shawn Bowling, son-in-law James VanKampen, 1 sister Jeanette Russeau, 2 brothers Melvin Pete and Earl Pete. Allore Chapel-Martenson Family of Funeral Homes is handling arrangements. Hazel’s family extends a special Thank You to her hospice nurse Kim Smith.
