Born in Tiptonville, Tennessee, Harry was the son of Charlie & Onie (West) Rhodes. He married the love of his life, Shirley Vlodyka on February 14, 1955. Harry worked as a Crane Operator at McLouth Steel for over 48 years, retiring in 1995. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockwood, Harry was very involved with the Rockwood Recreation Department and last founding member of the Huron River Yellow Jackets Little League Football. An avid outdoorsman, his hobbies included football, baseball, golf, fishing and hunting. Harry leaves to cherish his memory Shirley, his wife of the past 59 years; children: Harry (Sandy) Rhodes, Jr., Jerry (Sandy) Rhodes, Cindy (Al) Bowen, John Rhodes, Roger Rhodes and Brian Rhodes; 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; as well as siblings: Bob (Shirley) Rhodes, Eddie (Leta) Turner, Roy (Donna) Turner, Mary Morris, Martha Mowrey, Susan (Johnny) Cole, Genie (Larry) Cook and Alice Faye Rhodes. Sadly he was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers: Billy Rhodes, Jay Rhodes and Jim Turner.
