Evie was born in Romulus MI June 12, 1931, the second youngest of twelve children to Albert and Anna Nieman. She married Robert J. Roberts on May 10, 1952 and they raised their family of six sons in Newport, MI. Robert preceded her in death on November 26, 1996. She is survived by sons Robert Jr. (Debra) of Crestwood, KY; Alan (Frances) of Newport, MI, Paul (Suzanne) of Carleton, MI; Phillip (Renee) of Newport, MI; Roger (Jamie) of Newport, MI; and Christopher of Newport, MI. She is also fondly remembered as Mimi by 13 grandchildren and their families and as Mim by 10 and a half great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother William (Sally) Nieman; Brother-in-law Duane Roberts, Sister-in-law Donna Granger; Brother-in-law Frank Stasa; Sister-in-law Betty (Dennis) Beste and Sister-in-law Sharon Roberts. She will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews, and so many members of the St. Charles and Newport community for her help and support over the years.

Evie was blessed to realize her final wish of being cared for in her home over the last three months by her sons with the assistance of Heartland Hospice.
