Dave Stoner

Dave Stoner “Burr Head”, age 71 of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 20th, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Dave was born March 15th, 1953 in Monroe to the late Norman and Rosetta Stoner. Loving husband of Stephanie (Jester). Dear father of Sametta (Cameron Tusing) Stoner, Laurie (John) Barbier, Sandra Boudrie, and Christine (the late Gregory) Benvenuto. Proud grandfather of 12, great grandfather of 9, and great-great grandfather of 1. Dave is also survived by his sisters Judy (Bobby) Wilson and Chris (Dan) Laura, several loving nieces and nephews, and 2 sisters in law JoAnn and Irene Stoner. Sadly, in addition to his parents, Dave was preceded in death by a granddaughter Dawn Lancaster, and siblings Norman Stoner Jr., and Merlin Stoner.

Dave was described as being a “jack of all trades”. Everyone knew who to call if something needed fixed. He enjoyed spending time up north, camping, hunting, fishing, and cooking for his family and friends. He was also an avid CB Radio user, handle “Burr Head”.

He will be greatly missed by all. Including his loving pets Buddy, Sugar and Baby.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday February 25th, 2025 from 2:00pm-8:00pm, Funeral Service Wednesday February 26th, 2025 11:00am, at the Allore Chapel- Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 203 E Elm Ave., Monroe, MI 48162. Interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle.
