Charles F. Edge, Jr.

Charles F. Edge, Jr. was born on December 7, 1946 in Wheeling, West Virginia and went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2023 at the age of 76; he was of Brownstown Twp. Beloved husband of Carol for 49 years. Loving dad of Gretchen (Chris) Hudson, Darren Edge

and Denise (Justin) Lyons. Proud grandpa of Gabrielle and Maxwell. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles F., Sr. and Sarah Edge. Also survived by many other loving family and friends. He served our Country in the United States Navy and married Carol Radtke on July 20, 1974. Charles retired from General Motors after 34 years of service, served Brownstown Twp. as a volunteer fireman for 20 years as well as served the The Martenson Funeral Home for 14 years. Charles family was what he most loved in life; he enjoyed his dogs, playing golf, watching the Detroit Tigers and traveling.

Visitation is on Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 2 pm to 8 pm at The Trenton Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 3200 West Rd., Trenton. The funeral service is on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 2 pm at the funeral home; Rev. Ian Leslie of First Presbyterian Church will officiate and the Downriver Veterans Honor Guard will participate honor Charles service to our Country. He will be buried on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan; everyone is invited to meet the family at the cemetery for the committal service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kirk Gibson Foundation for Parkinson’s.
