Anna Lee died peacefully November 25, 2021. She was born May 20, 1933 in Detroit, the only child of the late Constance and Leo Lynch, newly immigrated Canadians. "Lee" enjoyed the typical childhood of northwest Detroit during the 1930's and 40's, spending her summers and holidays with her Canadian relatives. After graduating from Cooley High School, she continued to Wayne State University earning a degree in psychology. Upon graduation she engaged in secretarial work in the GM's Salaried Personnel Department. There she discovered she enjoyed - and had a talent for - working with people in a commercial setting. After giving birth and seeing her children, Samuel and Carol Jean (Gray) through infancy and losing a child, Constance, in infancy, she found fresh opportunity in the offices of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra where she focused on customer service, eventually retiring as Manager of Ticket Sales. This retirement, however, proved to be temporary and she returned to customer relations and marketing at the Michigan Opera Theater. After four years, once again turning to the needs of her family, she left the commercial setting and became a doting grandmother to Matthew and Megan. Lee leaves a reputation as a friend of many, as as masterful hostess, and her love of family and, among her friends, her passion for mystery novels. Her legacy will be sixty-five years of happy marriage and her unfailing kindnesses to everyone she knew. The family has chosen to have small private family gathering but will be planning a celebration of life at a later date. Please check back for updates.
