Alice W. Rivard

Alice Wanda Rivard was born on January 28, 1935 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Cynthianna and John Maynard; she died on January 5, 2024 at the age of 88 and was of Southgate. Beloved mother of the late Cynthia Makowski, Nancy (David) Homiak and Lori (Bill) Kleiss. Loving grandmother of Jason Makowski, Sarah Boyd, Brian (Aaron) Homiak and Nathan (Mary) Homiak and great grandmother of Caleb, Brooklyn and Orion Makowski; Cynthia and Makayla Boyd. Prior to her retirement, Alice owned and operated Rivards Hair Salon in St. Clair Shores. Her family was her love in life; she enjoyed camping, being outdoors and working puzzles. Visitation is on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 3 pm to 8 pm at The Allen Park Chapel of The Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd. (Corner of Goddard). There will be a service on Monday evening (time to be determined). The interment will be private at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. Memorial contributions to honor Alice’s life may be made to the American Heart Association or as the donor chooses.
